Salary range $2,190,302 – 2,945,713 per annum
- Under the direct supervision of the Senior Legal Officer, the incumbent is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to ensure the smooth functioning of the Senior Legal Officer’s office. The role will engage in conducting legal research, gathering relevant information, and analyzing data to support the Senior Legal Officer’s work. The incumbent will assist in reviewing legal documents for accuracy, completeness and alignment with legal guidelines and internal policies and procedures.
Primary Duties:
- Files and records maintained and updated;
- File tracking system maintained;
- Files retrieved and replaced;
- Meeting Minutes prepared, disseminated, and filed;
- Monthly Attendance and Punctuality Reports prepared;
- Unit store items (stationery supplies) maintained;
- Updated Unit Risk Registers;
- Quarterly Legal Risk Management Report;
- Meeting minutes and other audio/video recordings transcribed;
- Routine administrative tasks completed;
- Legal documents prepared and organized for review;
- Process improvements identified and recommended.
Qualification and Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution in the disciplines of Management Studies, Business Administration, Public Policy, Public Administration or related discipline.
- Paralegal training would be an asset
Essential Experience and Knowledge:
- At least three (3) years related experience.
- Knowledge of strategic management process.
- Knowledge of change management principles.
- Training in critical reasoning, quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
