Delays in Payment Activities Due to Banking Challenges

The Accountant General is aware that you may be experiencing intermittent challenges accessing the Government Financial Management System (GFMS).


Please be advised that this is due to current technical difficulties being experienced by the Bank of Jamaica (BoJ). They have advised that their Real-time Gross Settlement (RTGS) Gateway is down which is affecting incoming transactions between their institution and other Financial Institutions, including the Accountant General’s Department (AGD).  As  a result, payment delays are to be expected by our Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).


To ensure that the situation is rectified within the shortest possible time, the AGD team has been in constant communication with the BoJ’s  Technical Support Team, who has assured us that they are working to resolve this issue expeditiously.
